Meet Nicole Sherrill, MSW, LCSW
Hello!
I appreciate you considering me to be your therapist. Have you ever been in a relationship that made you feel inadequate? Do you ever feel incapable of doing anything well? Are you feeling helpless and finding it difficult to move forward?
I frequently work with people who are trying to rediscover their purpose and are sure they are unworthy of anything positive and healthy. I have a deep regard for self-love and self-compassion. I specialize in helping people deal with the effects of toxic relationships and the fallout from splitting up with a difficult person. My professional experience has mainly involved working with domestic violence and sexual assault, with a particular emphasis on how childhood sexual abuse has affected both male and female survivors as adults. In addition, I assist people with personality disorders, grieving, couples and family conflict, depression, generalized and social anxiety, gender dysphoria, PTSD, adjustment disorders, self-harm, and bipolar I and II. I think of the therapy relationship as a partnership. I have successfully worked with individuals and families to lessen the frequency and severity of panic attacks, reduce self-harming behaviors, enhance communication, and create suitable coping skills to manage emotions. This has been accomplished with the help of the clients.
I genuinely think that your journey is your own! I'm here to support you, collaborate with you, and provide you with new challenges. Meeting you where you are, we'll discuss applicable strategies and methods that are tailored to your circumstances. My ultimate objective is to provide you the tools you need to take charge of your life and to help you achieve equilibrium.
